Unlikely Pairs: In the Pool & Eeeek!/Carve It Up | Digital Scrapbooking Layouts

Hello Everyone! This month for unlikely pairs, I combined a couple of Chelle’s digital scrapbooking kits that I thought might stump our Creative Team. In the Pool, Eeeeek! & Carve It Up! Seriously how can you combine Halloween & Swimming? Of course the ladies did a magnificent job of showing me how wrong I was, they are un-stumpable! LOL!

Roxana (roxanamdm) combined the blues and oranges and used a great photo of sand-covered feet. I immediately could “feel” that sand on my skin. That wonderful wet & grimy feeling.

Next Helen (winipeg1). She also used the yellows of In the Pool with the purples & greens of Eeeek! A great combination of two unlikely kits. Highlighting the green elements works out well.

Last Tammy (CraftyTam) used Splash Mountain as the focus of her layout. Using “scared” for a water rollercoaster is a great way to combine these kits! Marvelous! Love the wave banner!

Hybrid Halloween Projects | Digital Scrapbooking Resources

Hello Scrappers! Ever wondered what else you can do with your digital scrapbooking Halloween stash? I’ve found some great ideas and resources for you.

Krisi made an invitation to her daughter’s birthday party.

I found a couple of other ideas to show you. Love the bats added to this kitchen light. Project links/instructions are beneath the images.

Wall or tile art that sits on your mantel using a frame and vinyl lettering.

Candles are easy-peezy when you print out elements from Chelle’s Eeeek! & Carve it Up Kits in vellum. (The links are below. Buy some flameless candles, attach the vellum images, and “abracadabra” you have some great decorations for your windows or table centerpiece. Hint! Chelle’s release this week, has some great vintage additions that you might like to include.)

Remember Chelle’s Hybrid Tag Frame using “family” as the subject. Why not change it up with Eeeeek & CarveItUp? Use some netting and make it a banner for your mantle. Use some flameless candles. You’ll have the spookiest fireplace in your neighborhood.

Here’s one from Chelle: A Kitchen Tile, some Vinyl and a few minutes later, instant decoration. (Hint! you could do these seasonally.) This tiles sits in her Mom’s house. I’ve loved this idea since I first saw it.

Here’s a quick rundown of Chelle’s Eeeek Bundle:

Eeeek! | Digital Scrapbooking Inspiration

Trick or Treat! That greeting all of Fall adores. The pumpkins. The Carving! The home I grew up in had 4 pillars around a cement porch. I remember many years standing on the cement porch watching Dad carve the faces into our new jack-o-lanterns. We’d get a strand of Christmas lights and change out the bulbs to be yellow. Viola! The fun would now begin! I would be so excited I’d be jumping everywhere. Soon Chelle & her sisters and I would get together, hold hands as we walked down the road from house-to-house. We were about as noisy as 4 girls could be, and then later we got to have the boys with us. Chelle’s brother and my brother. We’d run and skip and scream like banshees because it was Halloween. Our sugar rush was very high. We knew which houses we wanted to go to because they had the ‘cool’ or ‘most desirable’ candy. I don’t do much with the decorating any more, but our neighbors across our breezeway and put up a spooky house banner, 3 skulls — in glitter colors, a green mummy with spider webs & spiders. Just this week, he added a lovely zombie that swings out from under the stairs. We are in Halloween heaven — and that’s before you ever get to our door. LOL
When I saw Chelle’s newest products, I was so excited. The fun side of Halloween. I couldn’t help but feel my day lighten up as I watched Let me show you all of the coordinating products: Eeeeek Bundle, Eeeeek Scatter (FWP) Eeeeek Kit, Eeeeek Painted Papers, Eeeeek Word Art, Carve It Up, & the Eeeeek freebie.

For our designer & CU friends, she released CU Layered Folded Ribbons V2. Last night was Creative Club Digi Designer Edition monthly tips & tut chat. Laura Coyle presented a demonstration on Adobe Illustrator CS6 pattern making. It was soooo interesting. I learned a ton. If you want to design your own stuff, CCDDE is THE way to go. Join today! Next week we have Q&A on 10/17.
