Winter Woodland

Are you in the Northeastern US today? If so, you might be snowbound from the big storm, but I hope all is well with you and that you have power to stay warm and cozy. You might take this time to snap a few photos of the snow and make a digital scrapbook page using Chelle’s classic mini kit called Winter Woodland. It’s full of adorable woodland creatures and warm woolen mittens. But it’s also a great kit to scrap the not-so-snowy photos you might have. Let’s take a look at what Chelle’s talented team members have created with this mini.

First, Heather had some fabulous photos of the snow and ice from a December storm that she chose to use on her page. I love the way she made the title words in a cluster with that cute fox. She used a template from Scrapping with Liz to help her create this great page.  16156765767_923a3ea87c_o

Next, Kimberly has a page to show us how to use this mini kit with non-snow pictures. Living in a warm climate means snow is only seen on a trip to the mountains, but it can still get quite chilly in her neighborhood. I love the hat her sweet daughter is wearing on her way to school, and it’s great the way she included a snapshot from her phone of the thermostat in her car. What a great way to document the times! She also used a template from Scrapping with Liz, and she used a blending mode in Photoshop elements to add snowflakes to the burlap background paper. To spruce up the scallops, she clipped the grungy mitten border to the cream paper.2013_12-SwL_SODec14Template2_edited-1_zps9d3d7cab

Chalked: {Snowflakes}

I love chalk and and I love snowflakes, and Chelle has a classic set of digital scrapbooking snowflakes that are chalked. That combination makes them perfect for every winter wonderland scrapbook page I can make. But they’re also perfect for menu boards and subway art style titles on any project. Complete with smudges and smears, they are as realistic as if you had drawn them with chalk yourself, right onto your project. Want to see them in use? Chelle’s CT members have been playing with them and have a couple of pages to share with us.

First Jenny has a page she created with Chalked {snowflakes}, Cozy Christmas, and Chelle’s Chalked {bundle}. The snowflakes are the perfect accent on the chalkboard background paper. I love the way she has combined the flowers and leaves from Cozy Christmas with the chalked elements for her Snow page.snow-2014-3-fffmystified_web

Karen used a more textured background paper for her scrapbook page about winter memories, and the chalked snowflake elements look fantastic on it. The smudges give a realistic effect that would enhance any paper choice. And her placement of the snowflakes in the corners is perfect for this wintery scene. By the way, she used Chalked {snowflakes} with the Snowlandia kit and alphaSwL_SOOctoberBlogTemplate_600

Classics: Midnight Crow

Do you love Fall and all the gorgeous colors? Pumpkins, corn fields, mazes, and all things Fall thrill me. Chelle’s Creations has a classic digital scrapbooking kit that gives me that warm, comfy Fall feeling every time I pull it to my desktop. It’s called Midnight Crow Reloaded (because it was recently given an overhaul and it’s better than ever) and there is a coordinating Word Art that is perfect for creativity when time is short. Need inspiration? Chelle’s friends have a couple of pages to show you.

First Jenn loves Fall as much as I do, and her girls have not outgrown going to the Pumpkin Patch, thankfully. I love the photos she took of their silliness. The sunflowers and buttons are bright accents that compliment that cheerful feeling conveyed in her images. pumpkinpatchfun

Jenny also had photos with pumpkins. Her little one was really proud to pick out his favorite and show her the mud all over it. It was a messy day on the farm, but there’s nothing messy about the way she captured the memories. I love the way she used the ribbons in horizontal rows across the page, and the hay bales look like real hay bound on the page. Pumpkin-Patch-2013-5_web

Classics: Graduation

By the end of this week, my youngest child will have graduated from high school, and I will have hundreds of photos of the big event to put into digital scrapbooking pages. I can’t wait! And, Chelle’s Creations has my favorite kit for this theme, appropriately named Graduation, but it’s a great kit for whatever accomplishment you want to celebrate. The Chelle’s Creations CT have some great pages to show you how they chose to use this kit and the matching word art.

First, Lisa chose to combine the Graduation kit and Word Art with the Street Smarts bundle to scrap her daughter’s kindergarten graduation. I love the felt graduate she created with Chelle’s goodies. 5MayAssign1-Graduation600x600

Next, Helen chose to use the kit to accompany pictures from the prom. The gold and black colors in the kit add an elegant touch to the page. Helen-graduation

Finally, Kimberly used Graduation to scrap her daughter’s 8th grade promotion. She used the kit’s red paper and adjusted the color in Photoshop to match her daughter’s maroon school color. She also used Chelle’s Balsa Blooms {Cosmos} to add some flowers to the layout. 43676

Time for me to charge my camera batteries and find Chelle’s kit on my hard drive. Don’t have it? You can find it in her store by clicking on the linked images below. cc_graduation_kitcc_grad_wa-01

Chalked Products

When Chelle introduced her Chalked digital scrapbooking products, it was love at first sight, for me, and I know I’m not alone. Several of the CT love them as much as I do. Chelle’s Creations has at least 17 products in her store with chalked items, and the CT want to show you just several of them in use.

First, Kimberly used one of Chelle’s In the Pocket {small} templates along with Back 2 School to record memories of her daily life with the two busy teens. I love that she cut the frame off the chalkboard in the Back 2 School kit to make a card for her pocket page. That’s stretching your stash! 15822

Next, Melissa made a baby’s birth announcement to print. This would make a great gift idea for a new mom. She used the Chalked {Outline Alpha} with one of the Chalked {boards} to make this masterpiece. mm_zpse3d8dcb5

Next, Jenn used Bluebird on My Shoulder along with the Chalked InstaLife Cards, and the Chalked {bundle} to create this adorable page with some of her Instagram photos. sisters-3

Next, Heather used a Scrapping with Liz template, Chelle’s Home for the Holidays kit, and the Chalked Cards {winter}. I really like the way the chalk compliments the snowy photos.  13884336550_bb941609c1_o

Finally, Jen also used a Scrapping with Liz template and Chelle’s At the Park, Chalked {cards} and Chalked {doodads} for her cute page. I like how she cut the chalked card to fit the oval shape and didn’t feel limited by the fact that the card was rectangular originally. park-march15_zpsf8c2a183

Scrap Skills: Shadow Styles

If you’re a new fan to Chelle’s Creations, you might not know that she has some shadow styles in the market that can help you turn your digital scrapbooking page from good to great in one click. The product is called Me & My Shadow and it has 3 common shadow directions for a multitude of different thicknesses of items. But Chelle also has some photo frames that are fairly new to the market, and they include custom shadows that can add variety to your pages. They are Curled Frames and they include warped shadows, exactly like the shadows that would occur when a matted photo is placed on a traditional page. Let’s see what the CT has done with these products.

First, Donna used Chelle’s Choose the Right {Baptism} on a Scrapping with Liz template, and she used Me & My Shadow styles to realistically shadow the flowers, leaves, strings, and papers on her page. I love how the folded paper flower pops off the page with Chelle’s style added. web_djp332_CC_ctr_bapt_SwL_TemplateRevisited22_zpse6da7fa4

Next, Kayla used Hippity Hop Hop kit and matching alpha and the Curled Frames for her Easter photo of her daughter. The warped shadow on the photo gives a variance to the shadow that would most certainly occur if the page were a traditional paper and glue page. EasterBunnyWasHere_Apr11_we_zps48833c6e

Finally, Tammy also used Hippity Hop Hop and the alpha with Me & My Shadow on her page about four generations of her family together at Easter. As with the other pages, the flowers seem to pop off the page, and the tight shadows on the title label are the perfect thickness.4-generations

Classics: Hole in One Bundle

Spring has almost arrived where I live, and that always makes me think of getting outdoors. My boys love to play golf, so I plan to have lots of golf pictures to scrap soon, and that means I can use Chelle’s Hole In One Bundle – perfect for golf or putt-putt outings or any other bright, spring moment you want to scrap. Chelle’s CT members have been playing with this bundle and the associated word art to inspire you.

First, Donna has made a double page spread with photos of her trip to Augusta to the Masters Golf Tournament. What an opportunity! She has made an outstanding page using pieces from both kits in the bundle and the word art. Here’s the double page first, and then a closer look at the left and right sides. web_djp332_double

Karen had photos of her putt putt adventures at Fantasia Gardens. She also used elements from the bundle and the word art. I love that she put their names on the score card. puttputt600

Christine had a cute picture of Logan’s adorable smile, and she used the bundle for the perfect color matching with the photo. I love the stitching and the frame on the photo. w2zus

Techno Love

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and digital scrapbooking kits with a love theme are popping up all over. Chelle has a great kit that combines this love theme with a techy feel called Techno Love. It’s great for scrapping your pictures of your sweeties with their electronic gadgets. Her team has had some fun playing with it this week, so let’s take a look.

First, Heather had an adorable photo of her daughter playing with the Kindle, and she used Techno Love to make the perfect digital scrapbooking page. I love the way she used the little USB heart cable to layer on top of the matted photo. 12335621254_91a88ff3dd_o

Next, Jen used the kit to make a page with a special black and white photo of her and her baby. Her title is from the Techno Love Collection – perfect for the theme of the kit and perfect for this page.0513_zpse9b24ee8

Finally, Jan also used a black and white photo with this kit. I love that she used a light paper for the background, and I love her story! She used a not-so-perfect family photo and tells us that this happens every time she tries to get a good one. Isn’t that familiar?technolove

Kraftabulous

Chelle has a great kit in the market perfect for helping you to stretch your digital scrapbooking stash. It’s called Kraftabulous, and it is simply a kit of extremely versatile kraft papers with various patterns and textures. Her Creative Team has made some pages to show you how well these papers complement any of Chelle’s kits.

First, Jen used Toadally to make this adorable page about her children enjoying a children’s museum. The patterned kraft paper is a great neutral for the bright spring colors of the Toadally kit.  toadally-stuck_zps6dce3fc5

Next, Krista used a kraft paper with a chevron pattern for her background and combined it with the Play & Grow kit, Jump Zone alpha, a plaid paper from Street Smarts, and a template from Little Green Frog Designs. I love the movement across the page conveyed by the template design and the chevron pattern. 36461

Next, Tammy used a freebie template from Fiddle Dee Dee Designs with Chelle’s Snowlandia kit and a diamond-patterned kraft paper for the perfect combination. I love the way the blues and purples look on the brown Kraftabulous paper.Frozen-WaitLand_zpsc7804ea9

Finally, Donna made a double page using a Scrapping with Liz template and Chelle’s Letters from Home with a plaid patterned Kraftabulous paper. Again, it’s another perfect combination. 36476

The team has shown you that all colors go well with the Kraftabulous papers. Here’s a closer look at the set in the market. I hope you’ll be inspired to create something new with it soon.

Letters from Home

It’s Tuesday, Chelle’s friends, so let’s look at a classic Chelle’s Creations kit, Letters from Home. It has a vintage feel and a bit of a patriotic look, as well, so it’s perfect for your digital scrapbooking projects of various events from the past or present. Chelle’s Creative Team members have a few pages to show you.

First, Krista has a photo of a young person she supports through World Vision, and she made a page using Chelle’s kit about her personal story and involvement with Madalitso in Malawi.  I love all the angles she used for placement of the photo and all her elements. And, I love the way the little felt stamps are tucked under the framed photo.27312

Next, Jenn made a page about her daughter leaving home to go to college. A lot of us, including Chelle, are going through that same experience right now, and what better way to celebrate a young person’s accomplishments and at the same time assuage the pangs of this bittersweet time than by making a scrapbook page as a tribute. Like Krista, Jenn used lots of layered frames and elements behind her photo, and yet the photo is still center stage and the highlight of the page. I love all the buttons Jenn used; it’s so much easier to do this digitally than with real buttons, right? And, yet, Chelle’s elements look like actual, tangible buttons on the page. leavinghome

Finally, Tammy has made a page about her cute little guy dressed the part of postman for his speech class. She tells the story of how he was too shy to volunteer to play the part, but on the last day of class, he overcame his hesitancy and did very well. I’m so glad she has the photos for the page! Look how she used the twine in the kit – it looks great wrapped around the banner behind her pictures. Mr-Postman
