Unlikely Pairs: Grandma’s Garden & Trek | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hey all. I’m a few days late on bi-monthly digital scrapbooking post on Unlikely Pairs. Dang! I got so excited about Iron Scrapper that I completely forgot. My apologies. I love the combination of these 2 kits. They totally take me back to dressing up for Pioneer Day (Utah’s State Holiday). We’d get out our dresses and bonnets and head for the parade in our small town. My Dad (Chelle’s Grandpa) planted a HUGE garden, and if that wasn’t enough, he also planted my Grandma Griffin’s (Chelle’s great grandma) garden and she only lived 1 block away. We always had gardening to do and I have to say, I’m GRATEFUL I didn’t have to do it in long-sleeved, full-length dresses and a bonnet.

Here’s the two kits used in this post.

cc_CTRtrek_ cc_grandmas_bundle_preview_2_post

Wait til you see what our CT Ladies created…. First up is Samantha (Semantje) She created this lovely LO about the gardens at Disneyland Paris. The musical notes have me thinking of favorite songs is the Disney tradition, although I don’t know them in French. Love the lace and ribbons.

Samantha (Semantje)

Erica (stanworth) used these 2 kits to talk about storytime at Old Mill Park. Love the use of the white space around that marvelous photo. Her clustering is amazing and I love the placement of the bonnet.

Erica (Stanworth)

Next we have Leah (CatLady). She used a popular State Park in Utah. I love this LO. Her use of the strips, the hat above the boys pulling the handcart, the clusters and the strip of additional pictures… it really makes me want to join in and “push and pull” that handcart.

Leah (CatLady)

Melissa (KSCroppyChick) recently had this picture taken. I love the use of the large photo. Those costumes are super great!  Love the use of the browns to pull in the shading of the photo. The “wild west” strip really draws the eye to the covered wagon and I can just imagine the wagon heading across the page.

This has been one of my favorite “Unlikely Pairs” post. I hope you enjoyed it also.

Hugs!

Unlikely Pairs: Choose The Right & Family Tree | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Everyone! It’s a beautiful day here in Utah today. This month for unlikely kit combinations, we challenged our CT to use Choose The Right {Bundle} & Family Tree. Let me show you these fabulous layouts.

First up is Karen. I love the use of lace and butterflies and the wood as the border. Isn’t that the best-ever smile from the Grandson?

Karen (karen32) She used CTR Trek & Family Tree

Next we have Carol (Iowan). I love the red stitching around the border of the blue square. It pulls me into the layout and the stars. Isn’t “generations of fun” a great title? There’s a grandson who loves his Grandpa.

Carol (Iowan) She used CTR Bundle & Family Tree

Last we have Debbie (rdjrneace) and her “We are Family” layout. She’s pulled in the oranges of Family Tree with the lighter green colors of Choose The Right {Eternal}. That lovely blue flower draw my eye to the Dad & sons in the picture.

Debbie (rdjrneace) She used CTR Eternal & Eternal Quickies, Family Tree & Family Tree Wordart

Here are the links to the Choose The Right Bundle and Family Tree.

Lots of fun hours of creativity here using these 2 kits. Use Make A Missionary to make your very own grandparents. Use Choose the Right {Trek} for those family outdoor adventures. Choose the Right (Baptism} for those important church events for you child. Choose the Right {Eternity} helps create a more dainty layout. Use Family Tree for those pages using ancestors.

These two kits are so versatile and. I like the nature elements. Unlimited ways to combine them into your upcoming layouts. Chelle’s “Woodsy” alpha is full of delightful whimsy and can make a great impact on your layouts.  Me toes start to curl up when I look at it; I want to sink my toes into that soft & crunchy green grass.

First let me show you what Teri (ta_merkins). Her use of the frame is baby sweet and I love the flower clusters. What a lovely photo of the joy of Mom & Son. The green leaves add some nice dimension to the layout.

Next we have Lynett (Lynett_Rock). She combined patterns with a flower, leaf and ribbon. While it’s very simplistic, it really creates a great mood as you look at the paper images in the “stamps.” Simple, lovely, and many opportunities to journal.
Lynett (lynett_rock) She used Gnome Sweet Gnome, Love Grows, & Stamp Masks

Jan (quiltymom) jumped on board with her layout, “Love That Cupcake!” Her interlocking photos  and title really catch your eye. Her binder clamp cluster is adorable.

Unlikely Pairs: Chocolate Lover’s & Letters from Home | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello ladies! Do you ever get stumped on a layout? Need something else that’s just right? Chelle has  your answer! Just pick another of her kits with the same color palette or colors you are looking for. A string here, a flower there, maybe a brad finishes things off nicely. That’s the idea we try to show when we do our Unlikely Pairs post. This week we challenged the CT to combine Letters From Home & Chocolate Lovers! I enjoy seeing what our ladies can create. So let me show you what they created this week.

Erica (stanworth) She used Letters From Home & Chocolate Lovers

Look at how well the browns & blues go together in Erica’s LO. She used blue to spell “chocolate” rather than the traditional brown. She really pulled both kits together in her lovely reminder of a trip to Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco.
Lynett (lynnett_rock) She used Chocolate Lovers & Letters From Home

I simply adore Lynett’s LO. Love the use of the blues/grays and how she used the blue brads in her flowers. The doilies and use of newsprint give it some old-fashioned charm and her flower clusters are just perfect.
Here are links to the pieces of each kit.

Unlikely Pairs: Home for the Holidays & Oh Snap! | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Ladies!  Oh my gosh! I have some wonderfully inspiring digital scrapbooking layouts to show you from our creative team. We’re combining 2 of Chelle’s Kits. Home for the Holidays Bundle & Oh Snap! These ideas just capture the holiday season! I linked you up with the market down below.

Isn’t Jan’s title work wonderful. I love that phrase. “Hearts Come Home For Christmas!” That’s a “scrapliftable” phrase if ever I’ve heard one. Play a game with yourself. Can you find the items in Jan’s LO that came from Oh Snap? It took me a minute or two.

Jan (quiltymom)

Did you see that cute little brad that Heather used in her flower clusters? Love Heather’s use of the paper that makes me think of candy canes. Doesn’t that camera just fit right into her layout? Bet you’ll find a use for the (4) camera’s in Oh Snap! in your seasonal layouts.

Heather (snowdrop)

Mel used Santa, Rudolph, glitter splats, poinsettias, & Holiday Stitched-A-Bet in combination with Santa’s camera. He must be looking for who has been naughty or nice. Quentin’s face sure makes me wonder? I bet you could make a fab-u-lous Christmas newsletter with this LO. Scraplift away!

Mel N (KSCroppyChic)

Products used in these layouts:  Home for the Holidays Bundle, Home for the Holidays Kit, Home for the Holidays Add-On, Home for the Holidays Word Art, Home for the Holidays Quickies, Build A Snowman, Oh Snap! Oh Snap! Wordbits & Oh Snap! Quickies. Mel also used Holiday Stitched-A-Bet.
Have fun! See you soon.

Unlikely Pairs: Indian Summer & Taste of Home | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Everyone! Tuesday means Unlikely Pairs and this week we focused on Indian Summer & Taste of Home.

I wouldn’t have thought of putting these 2 kits together, but as I look at them here, I can see some similar colors. I want to show you what Chelle’s Creative Team created with these 2 kits.

Aren’t these LO Fabulous? Such complete opposites as far as theme goes. Kassie’s (Kass_23)  LO of her little boy’s costume is adorable and makes your heart say, “Ohhhh.” Jenn J’s (Jmljenson) LO goes in the opposite direction. She and her husband were in Las Vegas and decided to walk along the strip. Yet the word “contentment” works for both of them. Superb ideas for digital scrapbooking!! You can easily see how versatile these 2 kits are. So many ideas come to mind… I hope you have some great ideas too.

Unlikely Pairs: Ladybug Hugs & Apple Of My Eye | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Everyone! Today we are looking at some LOs comparing two of Chelle’s recent kits: Ladybug Hugs & Apple Of My Eye. These two kits are so cute together. Dagmar (dagi) one of our guest CT members created this delightful LO using them. The top picture shows their beautiful eye’s and isn’t the kiss just adorable? Love the banner and clusters.

Heather (snowdrop) created this Disney delight with Snow White. Love the clustering, the use of the flower paper, ric rac and the circle full of multi prints, scallop-shadowing on the edges, but my absolute favorite is the mirror in the background reminding us we are all the fairest of them all.

Mary (plumdumpling) show us her visit to Nauvoo, Illinois. Love the sunbonnet on the little girl. What a cutie! The cluster on the bottom right where she combines all the elements from both kits. A lovely family LO to match the tag inviting us to join them them as they “love to see the temple.”

These layouts will surely give you many ideas for ways you can combine Chelle’s Creations. Just click on the image of Chelle’s products. I’ve linked them up for you.
