(Wanda) She used Berry Berry Blue. There’s something about a pretty purple layout that just makes me think of my Grandma and her pansies. I really like her use of the strings and flowers. Lovely and yummy.

Now let’s look at the goodies our Creative Team has made using these two fabulous kits! First up is Ronnie. Her black and white photo really pulls you in and make you want to look at the little fellow to see who he is and why he’s separated from the other children. The banner cluster work is lovely work.

Gallery Standouts | Digital Scrapbooking Inspiration

Hello Ladies! Got some great new digital scrapbooking layouts to share with you and give you ideas for layouts you might want to create. I’m getting better and going through the SO pin-style gallery. Hope you are too.
Let me start by sharing Wendy Bird’s Hybrid Bookmark. She used Chelle’s In the pocket and Rainbow Greens. Isn’t this a great idea? It’s not to soon to be thinking of teacher presents. School ends in just 3-4 months. I absolutely love the clustering. It gives such dimension, but as we know in the digi world, it’s actually completely flat.

Shari made this delightful layout about their summer fun pinata activity. The large photo of the gentleman really pulled me in. It shows that pinata’s are fun for every age. She used Primary Mini, Celebrate Bold, & Chilln & Grillin.

Friday Freebie Summer Word Art | Digital Scrapbooking Freebies

Happy Friday! Mary (aka plumdumpling) here with a fun summer word art freebee. I created this fun summer title in honor of our new pool pass. I’m not a huge pool lover, but I’m learning to become one. It’s so fun to watch the boys at the pool. I used Chelle’s new Soaked Alpha and the oldie but goodie Make A Splash kit.

Download here or by clicking the image below.

Here’s a layout I made of our first day at the pool. The boys started out pretty nervous, but were splashing, jumping, and having a great time by the time we left!

Enjoy and happy summer!

Title & Subtitle | Digital Scrapbooking Words on Wednesday

Hello Everyone! Hope you’re having a great Wednesday! Aunt Sari here to talk about Titles. We seem to either love them or hate them. One fun way to change things up is to separate your title into a title & a subtitle. Chelle does this all the time with her word arts. One or two words are large & made with an alpha, the rest are done with a font. Whatever you choose do, word art titles really add color and fun to any LO. See you soon!

Aren’t these adorable? I look at them and I see family cookouts, amusement parks, water parks, watching community softball or baseball games. We used to play water balloon volleyball when I was in my 20s–worked out really good too, unless you had a partner who preferred to break the balloons rather than catch them with your towel and send them back over the net to someone else. Who can think of summer now without the human elastic rubber band game. I”m sure you all have great ideas. Here’s some from the Creative Team: First up we have Cara showing us a field trip to the Zoo. The contrast on the title (word art) really pops.

Next up is Ophelia with a super design on trains. The Polar Express title really helps me hear the clackety-clack and the whistle to alert everyone the train is pulling into the station.

Last, we have Roxana who used different sub-titled tags to help frame her pictures. I love the title of “Oh My” It really pulls all the dark elements together. Now I need some candy corn. Bummer!

Want MORE? Check out the matching kits in the market. Make A Splash, Chillin & Grillin, Ticket To Ride, & Sunnyside Up in the market.

Make a Splash | Digital Scrapbooking Classics

Hooray for summer! It’s summertime in my neck of the woods, and I couldn’t be happier! I love everything about it: the break from school (which means more time for my favorite hobby – digital scrapbooking, of course!), the summer sun and heat, and the visits to local pools and waterparks for cooling off. I know I’ll take lots of photos at the pool and even in my own yard when we water the lawn and the neighborhood kids run through the sprinklers. Chelle’s Creations has the perfect kit for my photos – the classic Make A Splash. Chelle’s Creative Team members have been playing with this kit and have made some layouts to inspire you.

First, Ronnie had some older photos she hadn’t scrapped yet, and Chelle’s kit was her first choice for them. The bright colors of the kit match the bright colors of the swimsuits and water perfectly. I love the large photo filling half the page and the journal notes on top of the dark parts of the photo. BIG PHOTO

Next, Shannon used the kit to scrap pictures of her daughter playing in the ocean waves. Notice how she used the word art with the water splashes to make part of her title – a helpful way to mix two alphas on a page. I love the water splash added behind the photos, too. 6-makeasplashShannon

Finally, Patty had some photos of a particular “struggle” for control of the sprinkler in the garden. Look familiar? It sure does to me! I love that she has used this kit for this subject and that she has the background papers arranged in a starburst pattern with the splash embellishments all around the border.  Patty_MakeASplash

Time for me to go outside and tend to my flowers with a little water. Maybe I’ll take my camera, too, and get this kit ready to go for a page for today. Come join me in the fun!
