Something Fishy | Digital Scrapbooking Classics

We’re looking at a terrific digital scrapbook kit today called Something Fishy. Chelle’s  scrapbook elves have made some fabulous layouts to show you the versatility of this kit. Ophelia made this adorable page about her trip to an aquarium. Look how cute those fish are!  Next, Kim made a page about her little one reading colorful books; the colors in this kit are perfect for her precious pictures.  Melissa chose to use the kit for a gorgeous page about her last day at the warm and sunny Punta Cana.  Lynett chose to make a page about a special date night with her hubby using the same kit; the colors really convey the feeling of a fun evening. And, Fonetta also chose to use the these great papers and embellishments for a page about her “catch of a lifetime.” That title word art is so creative, I’ll have to scraplift that.  Let’s take a closer look at the kit Something Fishy. Also available are Fishy Clusters and Edgers and Word Art There’s also a set of Felties that coordinate, and you can save a bit by purchasing the bundle.  I hope you’ve enjoyed looking at this classic kit as much as I have!

Scraplift a CT 12.1.11

Hello, Chelle’s Creations friends and fans! It’s time for our challenge for you to create a digital scrapbook page by scraplifting a member of Chelle’s creative team. This month, we’re lifting Shari, and you can view her gallery here (you’ll love it – she makes AWESOME pages). Here’s one of my favorites of hers, and it’s the Washington Monument. I love the large focal point photo on the left.

Two of Chelle’s team scraplifted this page and came up with these beautiful layouts you’ll see next. First, Jennifer created a gorgeous page about a visit to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville using Chelle’s In Harmony kit.
Next, Fonetta took the same inspiration and made a yummy page about her son’s creatively grilled burger using, of course, Chelle’s Chillin’ & Grillin’ kit and Celebrate! Bold.Carol made this page after looking at Shari’s Families Are Made with Love layout. Rebecca perused Shari’s gallery and found her page It’s Great to Be 8.  She used it for inspiration for this adorable page of her boys helping to make breakfast with their dad, and she used Chelle’s Sunnyside Up kit. Finally, Leslie took a double page spread of Shari’s called Grandpa’s Garden and made it her own about a trip to Carlsbad Caverns using Chelle’s On the Trail. So, here’s the challenge: if YOU do a scrap lift of any layout in Shari’s gallery and post in Chelle’s Creations ScrapOrchard gallery and leave a link to your lift in the comments section of this post, BY THE END OF THIS MONTH,then you will get this awesome gift from Shari AND be entered to win a $10 gift card from Chelle’s Creations! How awesome is that?!

What are you waiting for? Don’t forget to come back here to comment with a link to your layout in Chelle’s Gallery.

Perfect Pairs 11-8-11

Maybe you remember from last month that when two digital scrapbook kits can combine easily we call that perfect pairs. Today we have some terrific examples of this using the two kits History Lessons and Fireworks. The colors in these 2 kits blend perfectly together and can be used for an infinite number of events. First, Jami created this very patriotic page of her two boys dressed in red, white, and blue.

Next, Shari produced a perfect page about a visit to Washington, D.C., with these two kits.

Also, Heather made a trip to EPCOT recently, and she has shared with us a page made about an unusual visit to the American Adventure in the World Showcase there.

Finally, here’s a stunning layout by Jan with some awesome fireworks behind the Washington Monument .

Here’s a closer look at the two featured kits in the market:

I’m excited to own these two kits!  They’re both open on my desktop right now while I plan the pages I’ll make with pictures from this week’s activities including Veteran’s Day and a welcome home party for Wounded Warriors.

Sunnyside Up | Digital Scrapbooking Classics

Hi! Cheryl here, and I’m thrilled to show you some new digital scrapbook creations with a yummy kit (one of my personal favorites!!) called Sunnyside Up. Cara made a terrific page that is actually a note to her son about why she can’t understand how he can skip breakfast. There must be a million of us moms who can relate to that! But, look at this page with that yummy egg peeking out from behind the words, and see if it doesn’t make you hungry like it does for me.

This kit is also perfect for those cute character breakfast photos you have, and Carol used it to make an adorable page with her daughter’s breakfast with that famous Pooh bear Winnie. Just look how well the pink grapefruit and jam elements pick up on her pink jacket.

Did I mention this kit is one of my favorites? It’s versatile and perfect for many events, not just breakfast gatherings. Check out Erica’s page of her precious baby learning to handle his own snacks in his high chair. I can’t tell which cereal pieces came with the kit and which ones are in her photos – so cute!

Speaking of cute, have you seen Fonetta’s Littlest Sunshine? The warm colors and the elements in the kit look amazing with her beautiful daughter’s photos, and those paper frames highlight her sweetness perfectly.

Here’s a closer look at the kit.

Have fun with Sunnyside Up. I’m hungry now, so I’m going to find my favorite waffle recipe.
