Jump Zone Playdate w/Freebies | Digital Scrapbooking Week In Review

Hello Everyone!

Have you been feeling a little house bound with cold temperatures? Chelle’s NEWEST digital scrapbooking kit, JUMP ZONE, has had my head bouncing all week long. Did you see it? I love the whimsy of the free-flowing person! Jump Zone Alpha is the Free With Purchase of Jump Zone this week. (End 11:59 PM EST on January 15, 2014)

Do you like Snickerdoodles? (Cookies, in the US, around the world, maybe it means something else entirely) It’s just a word that mkes me all warm and cozy, and makes me think of Grandma’s baking cookies. Chelle’s version, is CU Snickerdoodle Alpha.

2013 Year In Review | Digital Scrapbooking Templates

Happy New Year!  Are you scrapping a year in review layout?  A few years back I was working on my 2008 album…but I needed a cover.  We didn’t have a family portrait taken that year, so I decided I wanted something that represented the entire year.  And so I came up with this:

08cover

Since that time I’ve often shared a yearly multi-photo template at the end of the year.  So here is a 24×12 template for 2013:

cc_2013_yrinreview_template

You can use it as is for a double page spread, or just use the right hand side for a cover, or a combination (see the CT examples below)

A few tips:

* if you are just using the 13, delete the other layers and then move the “13” so it is more centered on the page.

* Combine squares as necessary to fit your photos.  Technically you could fill all of the spots with just half a dozen photos.

* What do you do with those slivers?  I filled mine with brightly colored pieces of photos I was already using.

I’d LOVE to see what you do with the template.  Send me an email linking me up to your 2013 review.

Here are some examples from our Creative Team.

Home for the Holidays and Build a Snowman

It’s Christmas Eve! Let’s look at a couple of Chelle’s digital scrapbooking kits that might remind you of Christmas and pair perfectly together: Home for the Holidays and Build a Snowman. There are 3 felt snowmen included in the Home for the Holidays kit, but adding the Build a Snowman product allows for infinitely many possibilities of snowmen creations. But, the parts and pieces can be used for any number of embellishments to pages as we will see. Let’s take a look at what Chelle’s Creative Team Members have done with this combination.

First, Christine had some adorable pictures of her little boy building a snowball for the first time. These two kits were the best choice for her scrapbook page, and I love how she has the snowballs in the hands of the felt snowmen. By the way, Christine used Chelle’s Chalked {outline} alpha for the title. Christines

Next, Jen used a paper from Kraftabulous as well as the two featured kits for her page about her baby’s first experience with snow. The stitched frames are a great accent to those adorable photos and help to give the page a 3-dimensional look. snowman_zpsJen

Finally, Kimberly has a bit of a different page. While her page has a Christmas theme, there is no use of snow here. Her photos tell a story of her daughter’s cheer team helping out in the community at a tree lighting ceremony. She used the pom poms and a scarf from Build a Snowman to embellish her cheerleader made from modifying parts of Little People, Back to School {little people}, and Go! Fight! Win!. It fits the theme of her page and matches her daughter’s cheer outfit perfectly. 2013_12-01_Tree-Lighting_LGFD-CuppaJoe-2KF

I hope you have a very  Merry Christmas this week, and if you have time to scrap, I hope these ladies have inspired you to create a page or two with the kits shown here. Just for a closer look, here they are in the market. The images are linked. cc_home4holidays_kit_previewcc_buildasnowman_preview

Lovin’ Oven & Home 4 Holidays | Digital Scrapbooking Perfect Kit Pairs

Hello Scrappers!  Today I get to show you the team’s perfect pair digital scrapbooking layouts using Home for the Holidays & Lovin’ from the Oven bundles. (Images are linked below)

cc_lovinoven_bundle[1]cc_home4holidays_bundle_preview

I’ll start with this layout from Jen V (supergirljennie). I like the way she used the chevron arrows and those caramels really look yummy.  The evergreen branches go well with this holiday layout.

Jen V (Super GirlJennie)

Next, Jan M (QuiltyMom)  St Lucia Buns (Lussekatter) are  creatively displayed in this layout. Her blocking provides great dimension

Jan-M-QuiltyMom.600.

Then we have Melissa B (Pretty Peaches) has used the two kits to make her charming layout.  Mel’s clusters are really great!

Melissa B (PrettyPeaches)

Lisa (Kelseyll) combined the two kits to create Santa Chat. Love her ribbon banner across the top of the page.  The hotpad hanging from the letter “S” is really delightful.

Lisa (Kelseyll)

I think these 2 kits can be combined in many ways and that you’ll take time to see how they can be used in her layouts.

Hugs!
