Perfect Pairs: Canning Mini & Carrot Patch | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Wha-hoot! I have some really great digital scrapbooking layouts using Chelle’s Canning Mini & Carrot Patch Products. Did you ever have to thin carrots in the garden? I was REALLY bad at it. I frequently pulled all of the carrots and thinned the weeds. LOL! First let me show you Chelle’s products.

Chelle has also created Grandma’s Fruits & Grandpa’s Veggies if you need some fruit and veggie goodness for your canning layouts..

Four of our ladies gave us some  to share with you.
Jan M (QuiltyMom) She used Home Canning, The Carrot Patch, The Carrot Patch Word Bits, The Carrot Patch Blog Freebie, & CU Button Threads
Jan M (QuiltyMom) Readying the Hunt tell us a visual tale of her son’s first year of helping prepare for the Easter Egg Hunt rather than getting to participate in the hunt. She used Home Canning, The Carrot Patch, The Carrot Patch Word Bits, The Carrot Patch Blog Freebie, & CU Button Threads.
Leah (CatLady) She used Home Canning & The Carrot Patch
Leah (CatLady) She used Home Canning & The Carrot Patch. Her use of the greenery and green font really add to the texture of the LO.
Sam (semantje) She used Home Canning & The Carrot Patch
Sam (semantje) She used Home Canning & The Carrot Patch. I liked her use of the arrows and buttons. An herb garden is a great way to  combine these 2 kits. Love this way of gardening.
Jenny (jenn18) She used Canning Mini & The Carrot Patch
Jenny (jenn18) She used Canning Mini & The Carrot Patch. Look how well the text path and clustering draw your eyes along the path.  The bunny cluster is adorable and the plaid paper works really well with her son.

I enjoyed looking at the two kits and how they were combined by our Creative Team. I almost wish it were Easter again, so we could have all that crazy goodness all over again.

Perfect Pairs: About A Boy & Techno Love | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Friends! I think we just might have Spring here in Northern Utah. We have a couple of fabulous kits to highlight for you this week. About A Boy & Tencho Love. I love the bright colors of About A Boy and the Black & pink/red tones of Techno Love will spark your imagination. I’ve a few layouts to show you from our creative team to help get you started.

Lynett (lynett_rock) created this layout about her son Tyler. I like the wonky shapes of the shadowed squares. They caught my eye and I looked at her layout longer to see if I could figure out more detail about the shadows. A great example of how shadowing can add dimension to your layout.

Lynett (lynett_rock)

Teri (ta_merkins) shows us this great layout about her son and the Kindle he loves to play with. Love the bright pops of red that she includes to help us recognize he is in Kindle “LOVE.”

Teri (ta_merkins)

Jan also used gaming as her representation of  Tehcno Love.  Love her journaling about beating her son, John. I wonder if we all have a mantra about our kids… “Beat John. Beat John. Beat John.” Go Mom.Great Job on showing the big screen of the game statistics.  Love the clusters!

Perfect Pairs: About A Boy & Vrooom! | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello ladies! Glad you’re stopping by.  Can you imagine the fun you can have creating layouts of your little guy? I was at a church meeting last Saturday. I had taken a Manhattan Toy truck with me. Zion (my nephew) who is almost 3 played with it for a time, but then his 15th month old sister Tanzi, got her hands on the truck. She had so much fun taking it apart and putting it back together.  What could be more perfect? But… as my story said, don’t forget those little ladies in your life who like to “Drive.”

As you might have guessed, this month we challenged the team to make digital scrapbooking layouts using Vrooom! & About A Boy. Let me show you the products Chelle has designed using those 2 kits. I’ve linked them up for you below.

Now for the big reveal on the team’s LO’s. Erica’s (stanworth) tells of taking her her little boy to a church function where he could learn about go-carts. Dad drove him around. Just before leaving, Everett jumped on himself, smiled, and started making those driving noises that all kids are born with!

Erica

Teri (ta_merkins) reminisces about how her life has changed since she got her “Little Man.” Great clusters!

Teri (ta_merkins)
Last we have Kayla (keepscrappin), her layout is all about daughter’s driving experiences. The large photo really pulls you in and I can almost feel the wind streaming out behind her while she drives the “convertible.”
Kayla (keepscrappin)
On your marks! Get Set! Go!
Go directly to your computer, look through your photos, and make your layouts. I bet you’ll be surprised at how many different ways you can use these 2 kits. Go for it, the checkered flag just might be waved at you!
I’ll be back soon with more digital scrapbooking inspiration.
Hugs!

Perfect Pairs: About A Boy & Gone Fishing | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Friends! Today we are looking at two of Chelle’s kits to see how well they work together: About A Boy and Gone Fishin’!  We challenged our team to ramp up their creativity and show us some great digital scrapbooking layouts using these 2 marvelous kits. Look how realistic the rainbow trout looks!

Look at this sunshiny layout by Erica (stanworth). You can’t beat a little boy and his stick. If there’s water nearby, you know that little guy is going to find it and a stick makes it all the more fun. Find some worms that have drowned and you have little boy utopia! I like the way the green looks like a stage and then banner hooks into the “drapes.” Her journaling is awesome as it wraps around the “Stick.” That little guy pulls me right in, even though I only see his back!

Erica (Stanworth)

Next we have a layout by Carol (Iowan). The fish, the bow & arrow, the clusters, and those hints of color to go with the browns. Carol skillfully added charm to this layout by incorporating bits & pieces of About A Boy with the fish and water drop of Gone Fishin’. Even though Dad doesn’t appear in the picture, you can bet Dad and Grandpa (& Grandma) are right there encouraging their little guy to do his best.
Carol (Iowan)

Mel used a great picture of her son, Quentin,  for her layout. Isn’t that a cute way to show he’s 13? The strings and clusters are perfect. The paper strips and the  flowers make this LO very nice and “boy” approved.

Quentin13

Leslie (lab130) just e-mailed me another LO. Oh, this little guy has stolen my heart. He needs a hug from his newly adopted Aunt Sari. Those eyes…. OK back to the subject at hand. Leslie used scallops to perfection. With that little car right next to his face, you can tell, he’s ready to go drive around on all those fun scalloped edges. I can almost hear the car crashing as it reaches the end of the road. Great use of the blue eyes with the blue paper. The wood grain paper is a solid base that pulls it all together. Cutie pie! What a great title.LBeahm-perfect-pairs-aboutaboy-goingfishin

Here are the links to the kits used in these layouts. (Here’s a funny. Some of our ladies used Something Fishy and some used Gone Fishin’. We decided to just show you “3” perfect pairs. LOL

cc_aboutaboyxctmpWpJOFixctmpueHdioxctmpZ7hyg3

Hope we have given you some great ideas. Perhaps you wouldn’t have put these two (or three) kits together, but now that you see how they work together, I bet you’ll have some great ideas. Scrap them and put them in the gallery. I enjoy seeing what you create. Hugs!

Perfect Pairs: Play the Game & Food 4 Fans | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Friends! Is your Superbowl party ready to go? Do you have all the chips and crackers, dips & snacks, appetizers? Is your grill ready to go? All you need is the actual game and the pictures. Chelle has the digital scrapbooking food (Food 4 Fans) & game (Play the Game)  accessories already for you to scrap! Just add your photos. IF that doesn’t inspire you, our Creative Team did a couple of layouts that will.

Erica (stanworth) created this layout using both kits. Love the measuring tape and the clustering. I’m loving the green graph paper. What’s your favorite thing about this layout?

Erica (stanworth)

Jenn J (jmljensen) said she recolored the alpha and large hand. I love the fan-tabulous background paper and the strips of paper. This layout looks all gritty and full of mud ground into the background. Obviously my favorite thing about this LO is that background paper. What would you scraplift?

Jenn J (jmljensen) She recolored the alpha and large hand.

Leslie (lab130) tells of a childhood memory of her Mother baking pies. Leslie shows us a great use of circles and squares and did a lovely job on the clusters.Don’t miss out on the freebies that work with these products.

Perfect Pairs: Ho Ho Ho! & Naughty or Nice | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Everyone!  On Tuesdays, I get to show you some LOs from our Creative Team using 2 of Chelle’s Products. Today we have “Naughty or Nice” and “Ho Ho Ho!” Most of you know that I’m Chelle’s Aunt, I have always had my “favorite” kits from Chelle, but she just keeps changing my mind. I absolutely adore the button tree in “Ho Ho Ho” but those elves in “Naughty or Nice” just keep me wondering what they are up to. Let me show you the Elftastic LO’s from Jan, Karen, & Roxana.

Roxana (roxanamdm) She used Naughty or Nice & Ho Ho Ho!

The following products were used in these layouts and are linked to the market.

Perfect Pairs: Letters From Home & Fireworks | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Everyone! Ever take a picture that you just “know” which scrapbook kit or what items in your stash you want to use for your digital scrapbooking LO? Sometimes we need to add other items for dimension or emphasis to make our clustering, titles, or frames even better.  Try looking through your stash for a kit with similar colors. Chelle’s Letters From Home & Fireworks kits go perfectly together. Fireworks makes me think of summer, but Letters From Home makes me think more vintage-y. Yet together, they give you many more options for your designs. Check out these LO from our creative team.

Melissa B (prettypeaches) Melissa shows us a sentimental digital scrapbooking LO of Mommy & Son. Love the clustering. What a little darling!

Kayla (keepscrappin) Kayla takes us to a 4th of July street shot. The caption is perfect, what little (or big) kid doesn’t wait anxiously for the parade candy.

Carol (Iowan) Carol captures her grandson and his fascination with a US Flag. The stripes, the scallops, the stars are just perfect with this patriotic design.

Aren’t these LO’s adorable? All three LOs would work individually with either of the kits, but when combined with another kit, each LO is better, more eye-catching, and has more impact.

The LO’s in the post use the following products by Chelle’s Creations:
Have a great week!
Hugs!
