Gallery Standouts | Digital Scrapbooking Inspiration

Hi Ladies! I”ve been over looking in the Scrap Orchard gallery at some really great digital scrapbooking layouts that I wanted to share with you.  I think I must be into the square shapes lately because I just noticed that each of the layouts I’ve chosen this week have something in common. LOL

Smurfie created this layout using a FREE template she found on the Chelle’s Creation’s Blog. (Hint! Go check ’em out.)  She used the same picture throughout the layout in a triangular pattern. Doesn’t that face just make you smile also?

Smurfie She used a template freebie from the blog.

Next Jan (GrahamLikeTheCracker) used “Love Grows” to do her delightful layout about a little 14 month old. Love that big bow and her hair. I like the clustering and the journaling turned on it’s side. Really really cute!

.GrahamLikeTheCracker. She used Love Grows

Hey Jude takes on a journey with her to Italy. She used “In The Pocket {Strips}. Love all the dynamic photos and the list of places they visited. This layout is one to remember

Unlikely Pairs: Gnome Sweet Gnome & Love Grows | Digital Scrapbooking Kit Combinations

Hello Friends! Have I got some great news for you. Our Creative Team has been working on some new digital scrapbooking layouts combining two of Chelle’s collections. Gnome Sweet Gnome & Love Grows. Let me show you.

xctmprJ0dMExctmpHhLS9S

These two kits are so versatile and. I like the nature elements. Unlimited ways to combine them into your upcoming layouts. Chelle’s “Woodsy” alpha is full of delightful whimsy and can make a great impact on your layouts.  Me toes start to curl up when I look at it; I want to sink my toes into that soft & crunchy green grass.

First let me show you what Teri (ta_merkins). Her use of the frame is baby sweet and I love the flower clusters. What a lovely photo of the joy of Mom & Son. The green leaves add some nice dimension to the layout.
Teri (ta_merkins) She used Gnome Sweet Gnome & Love Grows

Next we have Lynett (Lynett_Rock). She combined patterns with a flower, leaf and ribbon. While it’s very simplistic, it really creates a great mood as you look at the paper images in the “stamps.” Simple, lovely, and many opportunities to journal.
Lynett (lynett_rock) She used Gnome Sweet Gnome, Love Grows, & Stamp Masks

Jan (quiltymom) jumped on board with her layout, “Love That Cupcake!” Her interlocking photos  and title really catch your eye. Her binder clamp cluster is adorable.

Hello Everyone! I’ve been exploring on the new pin gallery at Scrap Orchard and I have some layouts to share. I hope these digital scrapbooking layouts give you some great inspiration.

First Up is ChocoChoco.  She did some pretty intricate clustering and it really made you focus on her cat. The kitty kibble and embroidery are a great addition. She used “Here Kitty Kitty.”

Shazabess provided this creative layout. Love that big orange arrow. A fun idea for showing a child through a period of time.  Awesome clustering and I adore the title, “Hatties.” She used About A Boy.

Carrie1977 used some lovely papers to create this LO about her wedding. Love the Tag.  I really like the way she added the elements in. They all work well together to make this LO a lovely reflection of her special day. She used Love Grows.

Valentine’s Day Layouts | Digital Scrapbooking Resources

Valentine’s Day! Love, Hearts & Candy. Since this post is about resources, I found some I thought I’d share with you. They are about Valentine’s Day Writing and Journaling Prompts

  • Complete this sentence: “I know ________ loves me because ….”
  • Make a list of ways that you can show your love for your family members.
  • Make a list of people who love you and give at least one reason why you know they love you.
  • Write a letter to your Mom or Dad telling them why you love them.
  • Describe a time when you felt especially loved.
  • Write an acrostic poem using the word “FRIEND.” (I had to look up “Acrostic” to see what it meant.)
  • Think of one reason you like each person in your family. Use your reasons to write Valentine’s cards to your family members.
  • Write a poem entitled “Love is …”

Valentine’s Day Story Starters:

  • Jake couldn’t wait to get to school. Today was the day of the class Valentine’s Day party.
  • When I looked up and saw Cupid with his bow, I knew we were in trouble. …
  • Mi-Lin woke up itchy. Seeing tiny red spots all over her arms, she groaned. What could be worse than chickenpox on the day of the school Valentine’s festival?
  • Tommy Terrence thought Valentine’s Day was for babies. But one special Valentine’s Day made him change his mind.
  • Clarence the Candymaker rubbed his hands gleefully. Today, he would introduce the world to a whole new kind of Valentine’s Day candy.
  • Jessica couldn’t believe her eyes. Stuffed into her mailbox was the biggest Valentine she had ever seen. …

Here are some ideas of my own:

  • One of my nieces made a shadow box. She used a title of “I love Gordon because….” and then a heart shape frame was filled with little strips of paper saying the reasons she loves her hubby. They strips are all in different colors & jumbled about within the heart frame. What a beautiful expression of love. Make a digital scrapbooking heart and layer on your reasons.
  • If you are a single person, Valentine’s Day can get a little touchy. Why not create a mini album using the Title, “I Love………” Then use a favorite activity or sport as what you love. I love skating. I love the Utah Jazz. You get the idea. Being single just gives you more leeway in what you love.
We challenged our Creative Team so make us some wonderful layouts and they ventured out on their own and gave us some hybrid designs too. Let me share them with you. I’ve also linked you up to the products they used.
  • Crystal (krstylbear) starts us off with Love Grows. She created a lunch box note card. Her used of the baker’s twine and the brown paper envelope really ties it all together. The heart ribbon and stitching gives it a sweet nostalgic feel. How could a son not know his mother loves him! She used Love Grows, Rub-Ons & Bonus Papers.

Crystal (krystlbear)

  • Kassie (kass_23) I adore this LO. Using Chelle’s Techno Love kit, Kassie emphasizes the love shared between she and her husband. Clearly defined papers really flow together nicely and the the clustering emphasizes their love and how crazy they are for each other. Isn’t the graph paper with the tiny tossed hearts the cutest ever?

Kassie (kass_23)

  • Jenn J (jmljensen) Added some love to her layout by adding some flowers, greenery, & different pieces of paper to surround her son with love. Look how well the shades of blue tie it all together. Of course, he would be her valentine! She used Love Grows kit.

Jennifer #2 (jmljensen)

  • Last up, Sheila (Nonna@Dreja) used Letters From Home to share a beautiful poem. The banner, stamps, & buttons surround the poem with the vintage doily and kraft envelope make it even lovlier.  This layout transcends time, it could be used now or it might have been used by your Grandfather and given to your Grandmother.

Sheila (Nonna2Dreja)

  • Here’s another hybrid idea. Jenn (jmljensen) used Techno Love to create these darling fortune cookies. Oooh I can just imaging the fortune strips and the excitement from a spouse or children/grandchildren would have guessing what their fortune might be. Jenn made these using the Techno Love kit.

SAMSUNG

  • Kayla (keepscrappin) used some sepia or tonal colors to emphasize her “He Loves Me” layout. What a great guy, he gave her chocolate covered strawberries! The bright colors on the side and her creative use of the clustering with the string really makes the reds and browns grab your attention. She used Chelle’s Chocolate Lovers kit.

Kayla (keepscrappin)

I know I feel inspired to scrap and I hope you have some great ideas. So scrap them now and add them to the gallery. I’m excited to see what you create. Hugs!
